Breed History 

Known as one of the oldest cross-bred dogs in the world, the history of the Peekapoo dates back to the 1950s and 1960s in the United States of America when a Poodle (the French/German Water Dog) was crossed with a full blood Pekingese (the China Royal breed). This crossing came as a result of the need to create a breed of low-shedding dogs that can be owned by people with allergies and asthma.

And for those who would love to keep the coat long, you need to brush and comb the coat regularly to avoid matting and knots. Also, you should clean your breed’s eyes with a wet and warm towel regularly, and don’t forget to get its nails trimmed and its teeth brushed frequently.
